A Growing Community

Remember the days when all the neighbors knew one another? Kids played until the street lights came on, the streets were filled with families riding around town, and everyone knew each other’s name.

In Sutter Park, this tradition is still alive and well. We have matched nearly a hundred families with their forever home in Sutter Park. In a community that fosters connections, neighbors join together for community events and look forward to seeing one another.

That is what Sutter Park is all about; fostering lasting relationships that bring the neighborhood back together again. What better way than joining your neighbors for a delicious cup of coffee. The whole community is invited to come out and join in on the fun!

Coffee in the Park

Mark your calendars for July 31st from 9am to 12 pm. Get your day started with gourmet coffee provided by Impresso Espresso and delicious scones from Mama Kims!

The Park

Sutter Park’s Central Park was specifically designed with community in mind. From old to young, everyone was thought of  for this design. Perfect for a game of frisbee, an evening stroll, or chasing after your toddler.

The park is not just a slab of green grass thrown down but a beautifully crafted park designed with intention. There are well shaded areas with built in seating allowing for a time of relaxation as the kids go on the playground structure. These built in picnic benches were crafted from the trees that once stood in this area, creating beautifully repurposed character in the park.

For plant and history lovers, a rose garden surrounded by private hedges resembles the gardens that stood in the park’s location over 100 years ago! A Camellia Bush that was originally planted by Sutter Hospital in 1937 has been replanted in the garden to maintain the history and significance of the area. There are also sculptures designed by local artists scattered throughout the garden, adding to the culture that makes up East Sacramento.
